The Speedmaster is one of OMEGA’s most iconic models, having been a part of all six moon landings. The Speedmaster Pilot takes its design inspiration from the original model introduced in 1957 and the collection’s long history of aviation.
This 40.85 mm model is crafted from brushed stainless steel and features a matte grained black dial with a rhodium-coloured outer track and block-shaped white Super-LumiNova indexes with a green glow.
The cockpit-inspired display features two subdials with an opaline center and brushed beveled edges. The subdial at 3 o’clock features a 60-minute and 12-hour counter with matte orange triangular hands and white transferred numerals, resembling a fuel consumption indicator. The small seconds display at 9 o’clock features a varnished matte yellow hand and an artificial horizon design, resembling a target sight indicator.
The hour and minute hands are matte black PVD coated with white Super-LumiNova that glows green, and the central chronograph hand has an orange airplane on its tip.
This Speedmaster Pilot is presented on a brushed stainless steel flat-link bracelet featuring OMEGA’s patented screw-and-pin system. It is powered by the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 9900. It comes in a special travel pouch with a strap-changing tool and a NATO strap.

Speedmaster Pilot
OMEGA watches have a long history in the skies, and the new Speedmaster Pilot continues that legacy. Aimed at a new generation of pilots in flight, the 40.85mm design shares the same symmetrical style as the original Speedmaster from 1957.

Inspiration from the cockpit
Of all the elements, perhaps the most eye-catching is the twin sub-dial on the main dial: both indications have an opaline centre and are bevelled outwards, matching the overall design inspired by the look of an aircraft cockpit with the central chronograph hand tipped with an orange plane.

“The case back is engraved with a Seahorse medallion and a water resistance rating of 100m/330ft.”
